Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is SELVARATNAM Kandeepan (Entrepreneur individuel (EI)), publisher of tamilmarket.fr and tamilads.fr. For any question, or to exercise your rights: contact@tamilmarket.fr.

No data protection officer (DPO) has been appointed; the publisher handles your requests directly.

2. What data, why, and for how long?

The application does not record your IP address and does not create any fingerprint of your device or browser. As for any website, the hosting provider may keep technical logs (which contain IP addresses) to secure its infrastructure, under its own policy.

3. What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not make automated decisions about you and do not profile you.
• The Property & Business form does not score, rank or sort applicants: the advertiser sees the information exactly as you declared it and decides alone whether to contact you.
• We do not ask for any document (ID, residence permit, payslip) on the site.

4. Who receives your data?

• The public: the content of your ads, and the name and, where applicable, the Google profile photo of your account, shown as “Advertiser”.
• The advertiser concerned, and only them, for Property & Business enquiries. They become responsible for how they use your details and must use them only to reply to you. Once a day, the advertiser may receive an e-mail that lists the names of new contacts (never phone numbers or other details).
• Our service providers, acting on our behalf: hosting (Hudson Valley Host (a division of VelocityServers Inc.)); Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) to send sign-in e-mails and the daily e-mail about new enquiries; Google for “Continue with Google” and for web fonts (Google Fonts).
• Third-party content: thumbnails of YouTube or Instagram videos added to an ad are loaded from those platforms; the video player (YouTube, TikTok or Instagram) is only loaded when you click it.
• Optional services: No audience-measurement or advertising service is currently active. If one is added in the future, it will only run after you agree.
• Authorities, only when legally required.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (in particular Google) may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

6. Security

The site uses HTTPS, stores no passwords, keeps only hashes of sign-in links, re-encodes photos (which removes EXIF metadata, including GPS location) and limits access to data according to each person’s role. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise absolute security; if a data breach creates a risk, we will follow the obligations of the GDPR.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it or erase it, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, receive the data you provided in a portable format, withdraw your consent at any time, and set instructions for what happens to your data after your death. Write to contact@tamilmarket.fr, preferably from the address linked to your account. You can delete your ads yourself from “My account”.

If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

8. Minors

Only adults may publish ads. The site is not intended for children under 15.

9. Cookies

See the cookie policy. You can change your choices at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

10. Changes

This policy may change as the service evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
